Security Alert: Fraudulent Emails Impersonating MediaOne

MediaOne has recently identified a security incident involving an unauthorised third party impersonating the company through fraudulent email accounts and messaging channels.

The scam takes the form of a job offer. Emails sent from grace.mediaonebusiness.sg@gmail.com under the name “MEDIAONE BUSINESS GROUP PTE. LTD.” claim to be from our HR Department, thank the recipient for applying for an “Operation Executive” role, and quote a salary package, benefits and job scope. Recipients are then asked to contact a “Grace” or “Vincent” via WhatsApp (+65 9641 2106) or a QR code to arrange an “immediate interview”. The email uses MediaOne’s name and branding, but this email address, WhatsApp number and entity name are not associated with MediaOne and are not authorised communication channels.

As a precautionary reminder to job seekers, clients and partners, MediaOne’s official communications are sent only from email addresses ending with @mediaone.co. The company does not use Gmail or other generic email domains for recruitment, interviews, invoicing or payment instructions.

MediaOne emphasises that:

  • We never send unsolicited job offers with salary packages before an interview has taken place.
  • We never ask candidates to move the conversation to a personal WhatsApp number or scan a QR code to be interviewed.
  • We never request payment, deposits, bank details or personal identification documents as a condition of applying or being hired.
  • Any changes to banking details will always be formally communicated and verified through official channels.


Anyone who receives a suspicious email, message or job offer under MediaOne’s name is strongly advised not to respond, click any links, scan any QR codes or share personal information, and to verify the request directly with us through the official contacts below. If you have already engaged with the sender, we recommend ceasing contact and reporting the matter to the Singapore Police Force via ScamShield or www.police.gov.sg/iwitness.

The company is currently investigating the matter and taking appropriate steps, including reporting the fraudulent accounts to the relevant platforms. MediaOne expresses its appreciation to those who exercised caution and verified the request before taking action, and reiterates that safeguarding the interests of our candidates, clients and partners remains a top priority.
