Besides the types of classes, you’ll also need to find out the frequency of these classes. It might not be worth your money if you were to sign up for an entire package just to attend 1-2 specific classes a week.
Yes. The environment does affect your mood to practice Yoga too! A well-lit and furnished environment will facilitate relaxation while practising.
If you’re a busy person who’s looking for a non-entertainment establishment to chill out, you can consider doing it at a Yoga studio with excellent facilities.
Several Yoga studios understand the needs of our ever-evolving workforce. Many of them incorporate resting lounges and work tables, together with free WIFI access for members to stay on, even after their classes end. This is great, especially if you’re a freelancer and want a space to do your work while waiting for your class to start.
Some Yoga studios even have adjacent cafes, where they can take your order right before your class and get it ready when you step out of the room!

Tips Before Starting Your Yoga Lesson
Understand The Structure of Your Lesson
Most Yoga lessons are an hour long. They’ll usually start off with a short breathing exercise to clear the clutter in your mind. This also helps to direct your attention to your practice. Some teachers might even offer essential oils, which you can rub onto your wrists to induce relaxation.
Over the next 50 minutes, the workout will ensue, starting from the easy-to-do poses, all the way to the more challenging postures. Don’t worry! The teachers will be watching out for you if you struggle with the posture. He/she will also recommend an alternative pose for you so that you can give those muscles a good stretch!
As the class is nearing towards the last 5 minutes, the lesson will start to slow down. Eventually, you’ll be lying down on your mat for one final pose, Shavasana, or Corpse Pose. It may seem like you’re just lying there and doing nothing. Yet this is a significant moment, as you can give your body a good rest. At the same time, you can redirect your attention to your breath to cultivate your focus and inner tranquillity.
Understand How The Classes are Labelled
If you’re a beginner signing up for a Hatha class, make sure its Hatha for beginners. Some studios label their levels numerically, for example, Hatha I, II and III. Some studios use terms like Basic Hatha, Intermediate Hatha and Advanced Hatha.
Don’t sign up for the wrong class! You’d be either slowing down the rest who wants a more intense workout or end up injuring yourself!
Find Out Who’s Your Teacher

I got bitten by mosquitoes which is frankly not the most comfortable condition to do yoga in. |Review||I like that this studio offer many types of yoga, on top of that, Barre and Pilates. Been to different instructors’ classes, each has their own style but they have one thing in common, they make sure you are comfortable and do to your limit without pressure. The receptionist n staff are helpful too|

|Review 1||Lovely space for practice.The view of the beach is to die for.The vibe of the studio is simple, chic and welcoming. I love Joy’s Flow class cos the sequence is always well-thought out, invigorating and for the lack of a better word, flowy. I always leave the class feeling I have achieved something, and if I didn’t nail some of the poses, it’s okay cos it’s such a safe and comfortable environment to practice in. Such a hidden gem, this studio is.|

They will also correct your mistakes during the pose. Facility at AMK is good too. The front desk staffs are very friendly and approachable. |Review 1||The yoga session was really soothing. The instructors were really adept in their disposition. Yoga is a way of relaxing your body and clearing your mind. It helps to relieve stress. I’ve personally went to 3 Yoga Courses before, and none were as fantastic as this. This yoga fulfilled all my expectations, and I highly recommend this place. This place was just so perfect, and I will definitely go back there someday.|

weekday morning classes are more crowded than weekend morning classes, I think most people who go are housewives/middle-aged.

the staff here are really friendly, its very easy to book the classes online via the website. facilities are very good too – classrooms are spacious, many lockers provided, shower facilities, towels etc.
i attended a hot yoga class and found the temperature to be just right. i went for another hot yoga class in another studio and almost fainted in there because it was way too stuffy and hot (to the point where the entire mirror was fogged due to the heat).
instructors were really encouraging and friendly too! i think this is something i really didnt realize until i tried other yoga studios and felt the difference for myself.
2 years ago i told myself that someday after i start earning my own money i would pay for these classes myself and come back again someday 🙂
