Dog boarding is a service when you send your dog to a boarding facility with other dogs to stay overnight. Dog boarding services usually provide kennels or a sleeping area for your dog during its stay.

We would like to thank Pet Boarding Centre for all the love and care for our cat Minnie as experienced over the last three years whereby Minnie has been staying at the Centre many times whilst we were travelling overseas.
We can recommend the Pet Boarding Centre to everybody based on our superb experience of the consistent services that we have received over a long period of time.
|Review 3||This place is wonderful and took such good care of our pet. They provide transportation and a large space for your pet while at the facility. |
The staff take a daily video of your pet so you can check on their well being.
Well planned and thoughtful, you can’t go wrong with Pet Boarding Centre.

|Review 1||Had a relatively last minute need to board my dog. M&M were great. Very responsive to my requests and questions. Lots of information. Very accommodating. The facilities are comfortable, clean and large. And they have a CCTV capability so I could see my dog any time I wanted. Most of all my dog was very happy! Will definitely use them again. |

|Review 2||Had a great experience with Mutts & Mitten’s boarding service. They gave me peace of mind when I’m away from my dog. With the 24/7cctv, I’m able to check on my dog as and when I want to. |
The staff are also very patient and prompt in replying to all questions and requests as well. I highly recommend and I would definitely board my dog with them again in the future.

|Review 3||I chose Mutts and Mittens as the room size is so much more comfortable and spacious as compared to those capsule size rooms in other pet hotels. Moreover, Mutts and Mittens room are air-conditioned and I could check on my cat via the CCTV app they provided. The cat caregiver there updates me daily and is very responsible. Overall, I am delighted with the service provided and I will definitely use their service again. |

|Review 2||Petopia : Top Notch! I recently moved from the USA to Singapore as Expat Residence. I brought my Havanese along. A neighbor within my Singapore Condo recommended Petopia for boarding and grooming needs. Have done so and it has been a wonderful experience! They do a true top notch job providing excellent services, facilities and genuine care. Very accommodating, responsive and reliable. I fully endorse Petopia and have no reservation in recommending them to anyone seeking great care and services for their dog (or cat). |

|Review 1||It’s our first time boarding our little Lexie for 8days 7night. We recce many many places and felt the most at ease with Pet August. The staff here are really sincere and genuine. I could tell their genuine love for animals. Being away for so long away from Lexie, naturally we felt very very anxious. But they sent frequent updates, videos and photos. And they were extremely patient with our long list of questions and requests. Also have them to groom her and she came home smelling great and looking cheerful. She must have had so much fun looking at her sound asleep with a smile on her face… thank you Shinny, Vinna and all the staff and little ones like sunshine and ice for giving her so much love and joy. Definitely, going to bring Lexie back every now and then for daycare or boarding or grooming:) very satisfied little Lexie and paw-rents. 🙂 |

They looked after our two cats after being in quarantine for 30 days better than I could ever have hoped for. I will always come to them first. The cat enclosures are large and air-conditioned. They were more than happy to allow our cats to board together and would often get them out of their oversized enclosures to play. Highly recommended!

Sending Cotton to BFF is by far the best decision we have made & is money well spent. Timid & insecure, Cotton would growl at strangers & hide under tables. To build her conference, we have tried other daycare places. Big changes only happened with BFF. After only 2 sessions, she now approaches strangers & dogs on her walks! Elaine also provides us with behaviour performance reviews which help us understand Cotton better. Plus, the entire place smells really good & Cotton would often come home smelling so good! This is my heartfelt review.
|Review 2||Fluffy’s is the best dog boarding in Singapore! Elaine truly loves dogs and it shows. The doggies are free to roam, never locked in small spaces. Our dog absolutely loves it there and is never in a rush to come back home with us 🙈 |
They can arrange collection and drop off which is super handy if you don’t live in the area.By Laura Collins
|Review 3||One of the most comforting and enjoyable dog sitters in Singapore! Elaine and her team had our husky treated like a little princess and totally surpassed our expectations! If you are looking for a dog sitter that is empathic and focused on your dog’s well-being, Breakfast at Fluffy’s is your best choice! My family and I have only good things to say and we will be back! 🙂 |

|Review 1||My partner and I had to leave Singapore and move back home to Canada fairly quickly when Covid hit. Unfortunately due to Covid, there was no option for our Husky mix little boy to travel home. Our biggest concern was our fur baby and finding a temporary home for him. Ruth and the Wanderlodge team, who our boy had stayed with a couple of times when we travelled, jumped at the chance to open their doors and hearts and arms to him, even not knowing how long it would be before flights opened up for pets. Ruth sent us frequent updates on our boy, fed him home-cooked meals as a supplement to his kibble, took him to any appointments he needed to go to, and most importantly, gave him a home where neither he nor us had to worry. I cannot rave enough about Wanderlodge. They have such a way with animals and even got our boy to share a bed with other dogs they were watching (which never happened before). Their facilities are great – lots of indoor and contained outdoor spaces, and lots of places for them to lay – and their pricing is excellent. From the photos Ruth sent, I could tell our boy was happy and safe and well taken care of. It was hard being apart from him but knowing he had a loving second home was a weight lifted off our hearts and minds. Wanderlodge is an amazing space for dogs with an awesome, caring team – do not hesitate to book your little one’s stay with them! Thank you Ruth and team for everything you did for our Metric. We will never forget this ❤️ |

|Review 2||Jackson returned to us pretty much the same condition as when we boarded him, if not better! We could tell he was much more relaxed, calm & less awkward, probably because he spent much time interacting and playing with the other dogs there! |
Thanks again Nate & team for looking out and caring for Jackson, & also making sure he was squeaky clean before returning to us!

|Review 3||Very much pleased with the service & care shown by Nate & the team for my toy poodle Rory. Was initially afraid of leaving Rory at Wanderlodge as it is his first time boarding at a pet hotel; however, Rory look pretty contented with his short getaway, & even made a few good furry friends there as well |
Thanks a bunch for being so accommodating & patient with Rory (especially with the complex feeding instructions)!

|Review 1||Our dog is slow to warm up to people. Initially, we were prepared to let him skip the walk if he’s aggressive. But just the first day, he already allows Dear Mutt to put the leash on him and go for an evening walk! We saw the video how patient the staff is! We’re so glad to have chosen Dear Mutt as the pet hotel for our dog! We love the 24hr cctv too. Will surely book this place whenever we are going for a staycation or overseas! |
|Review 2||Absolutely fantastic doggy boarding place! Dropped Odin off for 3 nights and he had an absolute blast. Felicia and Francesca sent regular updates, photos and videos of Odin’s day, and the little CCTV cameras gave us peace of mind for Odin’s wellbeing. Needless to say, we will definitely be dropping our dogs off with Dear Mutt in the future should we need to. Photos are taken by the lovely staff at Dear Mutt! |

|Review 3||This was our puppy’s first experience boarding and we 200% will be back again! Francesca, Felicia and Gabby treated our puppy like their own and did everything possible to make her stay nice, even though she isn’t the easiest puppy and can be cautious with strangers. As previous reviewers mentioned, the pics, videos and regular updates were awesome to receive as well as the cctv we could watch when we were curious what she was up to. The team at Dear Mutt are clearly dog lovers and so patient and understanding about our dog’s specific needs that it felt like dropping her with family, can’t wait to bring our pooch back for her next stay and would highly recommend Dear Mutt for your dog’s next stay too! |

Difference between dog boarding and dog sitting
The main difference between dog boarding and dog sitting in the location of your dog. For dog boarding, you will send your dog to a boarding facility and your dog will be staying there overnight. For dog sitting, the pet sitter that you chose to engage will be taking care of your dog at your home when you are away. The pet sitter might also stay overnight at your home to take care of the dog.
Why do you need dog boarding
Dog boarding services are most commonly sought by pet owners when they are overseas. If the owners are only away for a short period of time during the day, most of them would opt to go for dog daycare services. By engaging in a dog boarding service, your dog gets taken care of while you enjoy your vacation or stay focused on your work trip.
Things to consider before choosing a dog boarding service
Choosing a dog boarding service is an important decision. Choosing the right dog boarding service can give you peace of mind and ensure that your precious furry kid is still in the same state when you see them again.
Frequency of updates
Being away from your furry kid means constantly worrying about their well-being and how they are adjusting to their new environment and temporary home. Most of the dog boarding service will update the owners once or twice a day. Some dog boarding service offers more frequent updates or even a 24/7 CCTV footage access to keep you updated of what your dog is doing. Choosing a dog boarding service that has your ideal frequency of updates can put you more at ease.
The cost of the dog boarding service is another main concern for many dog owners. Some dog owners might not be able to afford the daily rate at a premium pet hotel. If you are going on a vacation, you would already be spending quite some money on your trip, so you might want to look for a more affordable dog boarding service to keep your pocket from burning holes.
The location of the dog boarding facility might not be a top priority when it comes to choosing a dog boarding service, however, it should still be considered. Some dog boarding service offers a one-way or two-way transport service to their facility for those owners who don’t live in the neighbourhood. If you are staying far away from the dog boarding facility, you might want to consider your dog’s transport options.
The ideal scenario when choosing a dog boarding service is to inspect the facility’s environment yourself. Keep a lookout for the cleanliness of the floor, whether there are any sharp objects that might pose danger to your dog, Another important place to inspect is the actual dog sleeping area. Having a safe and comfortable environment will keep your dog happy when you are away.
Keep a lookout for their passion and professionalism when handling dogs. Are they friendly, meticulous, gentle with the dogs? Does your dog look comfortable with them? Be sure to evaluate the staff seriously as they will be the ones who will have the closest contact with your dog while you are away.
You can choose to bring along the food your dog has been eating or stick with the food provided at the dog boarding. If your dog has certain food allergies, make sure it is made known to everyone as you cannot be sure it will always be the same person feeding your dog every time. You definitely don’t want your dog to have a food allergy when you are away.
Benefits of dog boarding
Sending your dog to dog boarding means that there is a schedule to be adhered to. You can have peace of mind knowing that your dog is in good hands and it will be fed, walked, and played on a regular basis.
Dog boarding is a perfect opportunity for your dog to socialise with other dogs. Unless you own two or more dogs, your dog is most likely to not have the chance to meet its furry friends as often. Just like humans, dogs also need to socialise with their same kind.
Choosing a dog boarding service means that you do not need to give a pet sitter access to your home. If you hire a pet sitter to take care of your dog while you are away, you risk the potential of losing your valuables. You are also less likely to have frequent updates of your dog.
Disadvantages of dog boarding
Adjusting to the new environment
Sending your dog to dog boarding means that your dog would have to adapt and adjust to the new environment. There are many dogs that are more stressed at dog boarding than they are at their own homes.
Dogs are like humans too, they can get homesick as well. They might not know how to deal with homesickness and it might result in them not eating or drinking as they would normally at home.
Risk of infections
Dog boarding may have many other dogs staying there during the same period of time. It is possible to have kennel cough when boarding. When there are a lot of dogs in a small area, there can be a viral infection. To minimise the risk of infections, make sure that your dog is current on all vaccinations.
It can be a tough decision to leave your dog for a period of time, regardless of long or short. Dog boarding is one of the better solutions to consider when you are going overseas for a period of time. However, do make sure that you trust the dog boarding service you are choosing and consider all the factors before deciding on which dog boarding service to go for.
