MediaOne launched a video today to mark the 1 month anniversary of the Circuit Breaker.
Says Tom Koh, the CEO of MediaOne: “We were deeply inspired by this article in Channel News Asia which highlighted the sacrifices by our frontline medical workers to test and treat Covid-19 patients at great personal cost to themselves.”
Said Mr Koh: “This video has a multi-pronged purpose:
- to show appreciation for all the medical frontline workers;
- to applaud our essential services workers who are working hard to feed us and keep the gears of our economy churning;
- to give our staff a sense of community and purpose to help them out of their sense of isolation due to working from home;
- to tell clients, partners and friends that we are working hard – NOW AND ALWAYS – to make sure that we all get through this together.”
“It was pretty fun to do,” he elaborated: “with just a few simple instructions and one good example our team was off to a flying start. Within 2 days we had the video ready to launch. Really have to give it to our guys who are all very Net-savvy and enthusiastic about the whole gig.”
MediaOne hopes this simple gesture will help carry its message of hope and thanks, far and wide.
